About Your Character--
Name: Jason Harmand.
Age: 17
Grade: senior
Looks:
Jason has a striking look about him, he stands at about 6’1”, and is skinny however not sickly skinny as his body is pretty toned. He has a think mat of black hair, except for a section of white at the front, that hangs just above his shoulders and isn’t particularly styled in anyway as its neither deadly straight or totally curly. A trace of black stubble frames his straight cut face, but some how the stubble seems to create a softer feel. His nose has a small kink in it as a result of a broken noise from when he was younger, he doesn’t really care about it as he knows it was his own fault. His lips are full and a pail shade of pink emphasised by his pail skin. Jason’s eyes are a hypnotic shade of brown that almost melts into the black pupils; in a certain light they look black, as a result of this and the fact that he smudges his eyes with black eyeliner and eye shadow; his brother affectionately calls him the “demon child”.
Jason’s fashion sense is minimal, usually putting on the first thing he lays eyes on, usually resulting in a mish mash of black skinny jeans held up by a studded black belt, and a band T-shirt.
Personality:
Jason is one of them people you see lip sinking to his iPod, a lack of caring what people think of him makes him stupidly outgoing; loving to be the centre of attention. He likes going out to get drunk, flirting with whoever may be around, causing trouble (even if unintended). Sometimes however he tends to drink too much, some people feel gets drunk to often, and they would be right. Only been 17 he lets life get him down to much, exams, girlfriend or boyfriend.
Within his own circle of friends he does tend to be more reserved, feeling like he doesn’t need to impress them. However when it comes to people he fancies Jason acts stupidly clumsy, even shy; not knowing what to do when he’s around them. When he is in a relationship he’s very kind and tender toward the person, there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for that person.
Jason does have a very spiteful side, he makes it quite clear that he doesn’t like someone and would go to any length to see them in distress. He has a very short fuse, and is quick to act and speak before thinking; often getting him into trouble with his teachers and friends.
Background:
Jason and his brother have always lived Grace; of course his brother isn’t really his brother. It’s true they had grown up together, but they are not related. Jason had never known his parents they gave him up after he was born for reasons no one really knows. Since he was young Jason had been out going, always centre of attention but he never really fitted in and always considered weird, probably due to the fact he was bounced around from home to home, he never got a chance to really get to know anyone. It wasn’t until he was 10 he found a real friend in Conner, he started to look up to him though he knew everything because he was 3 years older and had promised Jason to get him away from the home. Together they were inseparable; spending day in and day out with each other and once Jason hit puberty he couldn’t deny that fact that he loved Conner more that just a factional brother.
When Conner turned 19 he did what he had promised, he rented out a small apartment in a dodgy part of town for him and Jason, it was far from perfect but it would do. Jason didn’t care, he felt at home for the first time in a long time.
.Jason knew he shouldn’t…couldn’t act on his feelings for Conner; it would ruin everything between them some he just couldn’t live with, sometimes if felt as thought Conner was the only thing keeping him sane. The night before Jason’s 17th birthday Conner snuck some alcohol into Jason’s room, they drank and laughed at the stupid things they had done when they where younger; it wasn’t clear to Jason what had happened next but he kissed Conner, he thought he felt Conner kiss him back, his heart jumped and sank at the very same time as Conner pulled away, a look of disgust crossed his face as he scrambled to his feet. Jason touched his leg asking Conner to stay at this point him came down to Jason’s level looking him the eye, “Never touch me again…fag.” He said with such malice, Jason’s eyes began to tear as Conner stormed out the room, Jason didn’t follow he was dumb struck and hurt. The next morning Conner was gone without a trace, he had only left the keys to the apartment on his pillow.
Roleplay example:
The alarm rang echoing through the empty apartment; Jason’s hand snaked out from under the thin covers and hit the snooze button, a weak sigh escaped his mouth as he tried and failed to go back to sleep. He dragged the sheets off him, sitting up; his head span as he got out of bed. His feet hit the wooden floor making a low squeaking sound as it adjusted to his weight. Jason looked at himself in the dirty full length mirror, his naked body looked pail and weak as he pulled on a pair of old boxer shorts, riddled with holes.
Light hit his eyes forcing him to shadow his eyes with his hand as he walked down the hall toward the kitchen, his eyes glanced toward the empty bedroom in which Conner had been just a few weeks ago. His mind clouded with sadness and anger, his fisted clenched and one struck the wall, a small dent appeared in the drywall he struck again, a familiar sting at the back of his eyes egged him on. His breathing quickened as he pushed himself of the wall and staggered into the kitchen.
His knuckles bled as he hit the small CD player on the kitchen counter, Hanna Pakarinen played out:
The postbox is filled with unpaid bills
Don't answer the phone, let the doorbell ring
I sleep all day, lay awake at night
I've lost all sense of time
Visions haunting through my mind
My fridge is half empty, afraid of outside
I stare at the wall, feel cold in bed
I've gotta get out of here
Jason hummed along to the tune as he poured milk into a blow full of lucky charms. His mind was still on the empty room that haunted him, it seemed his life had just been turned upside down. His head began to pound as if been hit with a sledge hammer, Jason was only grateful he didn't need to work today.
